I have a customer who is using the SC-3 I recently purchased from you. He is using PHD2 to control the guider through the ASCOM driver.

he is reporting many occasions when PHD drops the connection to the camera, and then reconnects.
This tends to happen on automated startup or when changing targets, like restarting after a meridian flip. But the PhD2 program then freezes and it has to be closed in task manager and then restarted. Before if freezes it gives an ASCOM error saying that the subframe is not viable, but there is no subframe setting in PhD2. The DL driver 2 seems to work better than the regular driver in PhD2, but it is still too early to say for certain. He is going to check the DL camera utility’s “overscan” box to see if that corrects the issue.

I have asked him to flag this to the author of PHD also, but thought best to post it here as well.

Got an update for you that may help diagnose it.
The system ran without a hitch last night. The solution was either using the DL2 driver or ticking the Overscan box in the DL Utility program.
