Greetings, I have a STF 8300 Mono which has issues connecting. I installed all the software packages and drivers (Checked in the DriverChecker and everything is updated). When I plug it in with the USB cable my pc recognizes a device has been connected, but it pops the message that the device's controller couldn't be installed. I have the latests versions of both CCDOps and CCDSoft. And when I attempt to connect the camera it says Error 1027, which I've read in the forum, means the camera is not found. I already tried connecting it with both of the USB cables that came with the camera and in every port my pc has. When I connect it to the power the fan turns on, so I know the device is energized.
As a follow up on the issue we had, the remote repair aid couldn't find the problem, so we had to send the camera in for repair.
