Took the camera out for a run the other night at 24c, 60% humidity with a light breeze and was only able to attain 1.5 Celsius for the -10 setting in Maxim DL.

Just tried to see if I could attain -25c in the house at 20c w/ 65% humidity and no wind and could only attain -15.9c.

The outing was very concerning w/ cooling to only 1.5c. What needs to be done? Images taken of the Moon an Jupiter are excellent w/o any frosting effects. But, summer's coming and it's only going to get hotter.

What to do? Any insight is truly appreciated!

    Thanks,
    David

David, are you using the same power supply that came with the camera?
Has the cord from the brick been extended?
Are you running power through a telescope harness?

So in the house at 20C ambient you are getting -15.9C on the cooler?
    That's a delta of -36

The two sets or numbers don't match the delta T
    (24C) (1.5) and (20C) (-15.9C)

You can call me night or day or Skype as well.
    Regards
    Tim

    Thanks Tim for the reply.

Tim recommended shortening the cable which is a 25'er.

I'll pursue that path and post the results.

    Regards,
    David
