Is there a way to retrofit the 8300m with the new cooling?

    Thanks

Yes. What is your camera's serial number?

How do I go about it...and how does it effect the cooling of the original

The cooling delta for the EN model is specified as 40C to 45C. It has a two stage cooler, and larger heat sink and cooling fan.

If you want to go ahead, let me know and we'll get the process started. You'll get a web store link for submitting your credit card, and you'll have to fill out an RMA form for returning the camera.

    Typically 30 to 35 C for STF-8300M.

The coolers do vary a little from unit to unit. Also TEC efficiency goes up with temperature, so you get more delta in hotter ambient conditions, which is handy.

Because right now I’m struggling to get to -15c and it’s like 80f at night I’m not sure what the conversion is like but I think -15C is like 10f so if I’m reading it right it will probably only get down to -5c at 80f

Yes I’m aware but in order to get it down to -15C how much easier will it be on the cooling system at 80 -85 F

    thanks for all your answers

I can't promise exact numbers. If your ambient temperature is 27C then you should be able to regulate below -10C, but the exact number will vary a little from unit to unit. Typically KAF-8300 sensors work well at -10C.
