   I have an SBIG-8300M and I have recently been noticing that there are vertical streaks on the image (see below image of Deneb). The streaks seem to grow in intensity with the exposure time. I've looked online and it seems that the issue might be caused by a faulty USB cable. Any advice would be appreciated.

   I really doubt it's the USB. Something is wrong there; substrate voltage maybe. Please contact Bill @ Service.
