Does any one remember what the x means in the 11000xm? I can not find any documentation.... Thanks in advance, Frank
For the older cameras, like the ST-7, X meant USB as opposed to parallel port. There never was a parallel version of the STL. I think the terminology just stuck sometimes. The official model name was STL-11000M.
Doug, You may want to check that.....11k's never were parallel??? I also have a non x and it is very much usb... F
Yes, the 11k's were never parallel. The X terminology is redundant, but sometimes people stuck it in there anyway.
Absolutely correct, never a parallel version of the 11000 cameras. There might have been a few labelled STL-11000XM in the beginning but STL-11000M, or CM, was the predominate nomenclature and it was never parallel. There was a ST-1001E that was parallel.
