We partially resolved some other issues with the Guide Chip, posted in another thread. STT-8300M & FW8GSTT But another problem showed up tonight on the guide chip images that we hadn't seen before. I'm going to upload some examples. Could this be RFI? Took all during FOCUS / AUTO UPDATE. I would pause the update and save an image for an example. We had more "strange" images than normal images. And these were ONLY on the guide chip images, never on the imaging chip images. And we also had the same effect during a couple of SELF-GUIDE 60 sec sessions, we could se it on the Guide Chip window. But it didn't appear to affect guiding. 4 sec exposures. Image 2 looked normal. Focus image 1.FIT Focus image 2.FIT Focus image 3.FIT Focus image 4.FIT 2 sec exposures. Image 7 looked normal Focus image 5.FIT Focus image 6.FIT Focus image 7.FIT Focus image 8.FIT Focus image 9.FIT the scope is back at the Observatory, I do not have easy access. Some suggestions on what to check would be appreciated. Thank You
This is not RBI preflash. It looks like a data comms problem perhaps. Check your HDMI cable and ensure it is plugged all the way in and not partially plugged in.
