    Hi everyone!

I have a set of STT-8300 & filter wheel. It worked fine until one time it got caught in the rain, causing it to malfunction. Here, by the way, I would like to thank Bill for his professional and warm service.
At the end of 2018, after SBIG helped to repair my camera, I have been very busy. After checking that the camera can shoot normally, I let the observatory automatically take a lot of photos, but I didn't have time to carefully review and process the photos.
Recently, I finally had time to start working with photos, but noticed that the original fits format photos had bright or dark streaks at the top.
There are two screenshots of typical photos:

The left photo has bright streak on top, and the right photo has dark streak.

Since the degree of appearance on each photo is different, the color streaks appear after the RGB is superimposed. Like the colored stripes in the middle of this mosaic photo. There are also faint colored streaks on the left and right ends of the photo.

I looked through photos taken before and after the camera was repaired. The above phenomenon did not occur before the repair, but it appeared after the camera was returned for repair.

At present, I suspect three reasons:
    1. CCD condensation,
    2. uneven cooling,
3.the OAG blocks the CCD and reflects bright stars.
Of course, there may be other reasons.

Reason 2 can be seen by dark files. Last night, I tried taking some dark files and found no bright or dark streak, several files were calibrated separately and were very flat.

    Dark files are no problem.

About reason 3, I checked the light path and the OAG is quite far from the CCD. The CCD surface is also very clean.

These show that the problem is not caused by reason 2 or 3. Reason 1 remains.

The camera's desiccant was never regenerated. I will try this soon, following the page 37 'Desiccant Regeneration' chapter of the user manual 'stt_manual_080112b.pdf'.

Dear guys, do you have any suggestions for the above phenomenon? What do you think might be the cause? How can I fix it?
    Thank you all!

I recommend you recharge the desiccant, place it in the camera and let it sit 24hours; then repeat again.
