Two nights ago my ST-8300M wouldn't connect in MaximDL for some reason so I went outside to check it. No lights were on, and the fans were not running. Power was supplied from a Powerwerx SS-30DV 25A 14.1 DC power supply and other devices had power. I've used this power supply for over a year with this camera, but to be sure it was not a power problem I plugged in the original STT power supply. Unfortunately, the camera would still not turn on. Is there anything I can check, like a fuse, before sending it in for repair? -Ray
Sometimes the center pin in the camera's power connector gets "squished" and doesn't contact reliably. It's in two pieces. Try gently prying it apart with tweezers and see if that helps. Otherwise you will probably need to contact bill@sbig.com
