Resolved STT-8300M - weird temperature reading and OS_ERROR

    Hi,

    The STT-8300M is installed in my backyard observatory.
    I recently start seeing OS_ERROR (with SGP, please see attached) and sometimes comes with the crazy temperature reading (-46C) right after powering on the system.

    After several reboot (power off), the system usually can come back to normal, but not always.
    Please advise. Thanks.

    OS_Error usually means a problem with Windows or communication to the camera.
    1. Check all your USB cables and hubs. Sometimes a little bit of oxidation or corrosion will happen to the connectors.

    2. Check Windows Power Management / USB Selective Suspend, as described here:

    Thanks for the super fast reply.
    After switching differ USB ports, it get worse :(
    Now maybe I need to try a new USB cable...

    Follow up on this. Once changed the USB cable, everything is fine.
