My STT 8300M was working fine in a PC win 10 64b, now all the image have a background value of zero and max value is around 6500ADU. That started yesterday night, today I updated the last drivers and the firmware without any improvement. Using Maxim 6.13, CCDOps or TSX CAO gave the same result. I downloaded some Fit image here, a bias, a dark and two images from the sky. https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B9UHvwwBkzD1VHRYSEVjUXVpNWs&usp=sharing Any help will be appreciated. Hi Antoine, We have a couple of techs away for the holidays. I did get your private email today. I looked at the images. For example your 60 seconds dark has zero counts but does show some pixel counts as well. Was the camera working and taking images and then just stopped? Let me know the events as they happened so I can help diagnose it. I added you as a skype contact just now. Once you approve me I can ring you and talk. Kind regards Tim
Hi Tim The camera was working just fine, then the observatory was closed some days due to the weather, I needed to do some test using FocusMax4 and I noticed that the image to focus was weird. Took some images of the sky and found the background image was zero and the max ADU value of the stars was limited around 6500 even with bright stars, Checked with SBIGCheckerDriver updated the drivers as the firmware sttga.bf2 who was outdated, without improvement. Guider images are fine the main chip is showing a problem. My remote observatory is not far from my house but the internet speed is very limited, I've not Skype installed in my PC now. Let me know if you need more informations to help to diagnose the problem. Kind regards
It kinda looks like the offset needs to be set. Although I see that it looks correct in the camera Info box in the initial posting.
Hi, Get Bill support, tested several things and finally the camera need to go back to the repair shop in California. I'll let you informed. regards
