I have a STX 16803 camera and the cooling fan is noisy or no longer running. The issue seems to be mechanical….bearing or other mechanical failure of the fan itself. Is there a replacement cooling fan available from any of the electronics suppliers (Mauser, Digikey, etc) and if so does anyone have the specific part number for the fan (and the connector as well, as I am certain the SBIG connector is specific and not included with the fan). You also contacted us this morning - we'll be in touch later today. It appears that there is no stock available anywhere for the Sanyo Denki aka San Ace fan. I'll send you an email with a possible substitute.
Many thanks for your quick response ! I did see a related thread regarding replacing a cooling fan (but I think on a STXL camera). The replacement fan for this was available from Mauser with part # 978-109R0612J401 DC Fans I don’t know if this would be the correct fan for the STX 16803 as well.
