Has anyone had any experience taking the Pelican-style case for the STXL16200 as carry-on luggage ? The dimensions of the case are 21-3/4" X 17" X 8". I will be in economy class on a Boeing 777, then on a Boeing 717. The limits for carry-on luggage is 22" X 14" X 9", but in my travels I have seen these limits pushed very far.
Yes, and it depends on the airline. If you get in a boarding line with a "your bag must fit this testing device" it will be close. Mine went cross-continent and cross border. Check the airline's limits, as sometimes they vary.
