I have been impressed the Aluma series even though using STXL6303 w/ FW8G+AO-X. But my gears are now sick in bed at Japanese dealer. How long does it take to ship Aluma 8300 w/ Self-Guiding Filter Wheel Pro Package to my country? Thank you for reading. Hirofumi
Hello Hirofumi, Thanks for writing in. I can ship the Aluma 8300 Pro Package early next week. Following that, I estimate a shipment from our warehouse takes roughly five business days to arrive in Japan. Hope this helps.
Hello, anique, Sure, your advice helps me so much. Then I can move very soon. May I ask more? How many backfocus value do they have? Thanks for quick reply. Hiro(Hirofumi, Not a hero,,)
Hiro, The mechanical distance between the camera front plate and the sensor is 20.5 mm. Taking into account the thickness of the chamber window reduces that to 19.8 mm. With the guided wheel installed, the mechanical distance from the front of the flat adapter plate to the sensor is 43 mm. Taking into account the thickness of the chamber window and a 2 mm thick filter in the wheel brings this down to 41.7 mm. Doug
Dear Doug, Thank you so much for helpfull info. about the Ulma 8300 and guided wheel. And so there is much light path left on my telescope. Regards, Hiro

Dear Doug, I am very sorry for not reading precisely about the product description. Now understand. Thank you for showing me the package contents again. Good day, Hiro
Dear Stuff, I read manual of Model AO-8. The manual will be necessary to use AO-8A attached to the Aluma-8300 with FWG8. As I have not the camera with FW yet, wondering that I should refer to the part of "To attach the AO-8 to an ST camera with a CFW10 filter wheel:" in the manual(Page 5). Is that OK? Hiro
Mechanically the AO-8A is identical to the AO-8T. The only difference is the electrical connector, which is different on the Aluma cameras. There's a small difference to the original AO-8, which had a different shape mounting plate (due to different shape camera). The manual hasn't been updated to show newer camera hardware, but the installation procedure is the same.
Dear Doug, OK, so there will be no trouble on installing the AO-8A. Thanks for all explanation up to now. Hiro
Dear anique, I have placed my order just few hours before. The Aluma-8300 and some other products. But made a mistake on adding your product to purchase list. That is "Standard Cover for the Aluma Filter Wheel". How can I add the Filter Wheel to the cart? The shipping cost is added by usual way. I appreciate that the standard cover will be shipped together. Sorry, Hiro
Dear stuffs, I installed all optic devices to Aluma-8300 camera after reading the camera, filter wheel, AO8-A and MaxIm-DL manual preceisely. Version of the MaxIm-DL is 6.18, the ratest one. Several cables were connected firmly between these devices. No loosening. The camera and the filter wheel setting are "DL Imaging" and "DL Imaging+FW" respectively. "Dual Chip Mode" was also selected. At this point, a special SBIG AO Control window did not appear, even though the filter wheel worked properly. Then I changed the filter wheel setting to "SBIG AO w/FW". After that, Error message(2097445236) which means the filter wheel opening error was shown. What's wrong on my setting? Each S/N are AL8300M18070601, F8AG180901 and A8A180503. Regards, Hirofumi Tanaka
