Hello there. The Vela SNR in the SH is huge but there are a multitude of interesting parts that are worthy imaging targets. Here is just over 18 hours of exposure (Ha and OIII) on such a target. What I find most interesting is where the OIII 'X' intersects. Without any additional processing the OIII signal at that intersection is brighter than the surrounding areas indicating (I would have thought) that 'gas' in that area is combined.....that's my non-astronomer take on it. Taken with an AP Riccardi Honders f3.8 and STXL16200. cheers Martin
