What could be causing this black and white band on top of a STT-3200ME image, it happens sporadicly during imaging. Camera is guiding with the internal guide chip. Filterwheel changes R-G-B, but I don't think this is relevant.

Could you please post a FITS image? It's impossible to tell anything from a JPEG.

Sure, Doug, here it is. I can add that, when this occurs, I see "waiting for download" and it takes longer than normal before the image is displayed.
MaxDl620 and latest camera drivers installed.

Looks like it didn't clock out properly. Did the image of M11 "slide down" the chip on the bad exposure, compared to the good ones?

First thing to do - update firmware and drivers via SBIGDriverChecker, which is downloadable from the STT-3200 product page on our web site.

    Hi Doug,

No, M11 did not slide down the chip, it is the upper 145 rows that are bad. As far as I remember I installed the latest firmware and drivers for the camera when I had to install the software on a new Win10 PC a few months ago, but I will check this.

    Thanks,

    Geert

Possibly an internal power supply failure. It may have to go in to @Bill for service.

I really hope not with the hassle it takes to send something to the USA and back for repair!
