Resolved Windows autostart after shutdown

    I am running our observatory's SBIG340 AllSky mono using a Windows 7 service pack 1 computer. It has run well for over 2 years now. However, I am not proficient enough in Windows configuration to know how to get the AllSky software to restart automatically after a power failure.

    Can someone refresh my experience o what the magic was to make that work?

    If I recall correctly, Windows 7 there is a Startup folder under Start menu Programs. Drag a shortcut to the program into that folder.

    FYI in Windows 10 there is a Startup page in the system Settings app.
