Hello I have just reinstated my STXL 11002 and I note that its firmware is out of date. I currently have stxga.bf2 version 2.45 and the update is version 2.51. Is this a recommended update? If so, what issues does it address? thanks Martin
From a quick review of the revision history, TDI (drift scanning) support was added, RBI Preflash was redesigned to make it more effective, and various improvements were made to both internal and external guide camera shutter operations. Please note that you must use the latest SBIGUDrv with this version of firmware. Also for RBI Preflash support to work you may need to update your application software. We recommend downloading a fresh copy of the SBIG driver checker (go to STXL 11002 page on web site, click downloads tab). We've improved the driver checker itself to make certain user errors less likely during firmware downloads.
