I am getting "waiting for cooler" messages on SGP sequences. Checking the camera settings the cooler is on but the temperature is not going down.
The camera connects with CCDopo; it connects and takes images with SGP, which is what I use. When I disconnect SGP it says "driver not open"
What Colin meant was, try operating the cooler from CCDOPS, and see if it cools properly. We want to eliminate third-party software as a possible issue, so we can tell if there's a problem with your camera or not.
Start CCDOPS Connect to camera Turn on cooler and adjust setpoint. Wait and see if the camera's temperature achieves at least 30 degrees below ambient.
I am still having cooling problems. The camera will not connect with SGP if CCDOPS is running. The temp shown in SGP ssems to go down....I just set it at -5.......very slow. I need to shut off the cooler in SGP to start the sequence.
Only one program at a time will control your camera. If CCDOPS is successfully setting the cooling, and you take an image and see the FITS Header has the correct temperature data, then the camera is working. The problem is then SGP.
The cooler is working....software issues. Selecting "cool on connect" in SGP seems to mess things up. If I manually start the cooler after starting the sequence it works.
