My STXL 6303 has been working, but now the USB interface died. I get "USB device not recognized" upon connection.

I've tried several different cables and computers. No USB hub. Drivers are up to date.

OS is Win 10 Pro 64-bit, version 1903.

    What's next - repair?

What is the camera serial number?

Does it still work via Ethernet?

    SN is X17010004

Couldn't get it to respond via Ethernet, either.

Did you check the power LEDs? Does the fan run?

The power LED shows green. The status LED is steady red.

    The fan runs.

I tried Ethernet again with Maxim DL. The STXL shows up on a network mapper with the expected address - 192.168.0.100 - but when I try to connect to that address with Maxim, the response is
    "Error opening camera 1
    Open Device failed:34"

With CCDSoft, attempting Ethernet connection results in "Undescribed error, Error code = 1034 (40a)".

And when I connect USB, the computer device manager under USB controllers sprouts a line that says "Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed)".

Did you try connecting the camera directly via USB to a second, known-good PC that has SBIGUDrv installed?
No hubs, no extenders, a short cable eg 6 feet.

It sounds like it needs service. Please contact @Bill at SBIG Service & Repair for assistance.

Colin, I did try additional computers with updated drivers, no hubs, short cables, no extensions.
