Hi, I bought MAXIM DL Pro Suite (with MaxPoint), download and install on Windows 7 Ultimate(FR) the softs but I have a message error when I open MaxPoint (MaxPoint start up:Registry area appears locked. Cannot continue.(5.1). I see a topic on this for MaxPoint forum, I registered but after login I received this message: "You do not have permission to view this page or perform this action". You need to be a registred customer on the forums to access the Cyanogen sections. You can request access by submitting the following form with your latest license information:

    Doug/Diffraction Team,
As discussed in this old thread above I discovered I'm getting the same error when accessing Max Point. Registry appears locked. I have my old version of MaximDL v6 and the new v7 installed and registered/licensed. I tried uninstalling/reinstalling but no help. I submitted my latest license info (from July 24) per above link. Maximu appears to have taken the license OK. Very frustrating. I gotta say -- I know software piracy is a big issue for developers and I sympathize, but as a customer I'm not very happy at this moment. I've spent two full days trying just to get Maxim DL 7 and Maxpoint update (if any) running on a system where it was previously working fine about 18mo ago. I don't get much free time to dedicate to my astronomy hobby, so Im disappointed that I shot so much time fooling with website/forum accesses, update downloads, and installs -- and still don't have it all going, let alone setup and working. Sorry for venting but there must be a better way!

    Larry.

    If it's any help.

    For the MaxPoint issue....

I see from the Customer Status badge below your user name that you are a registered customer (Larry Bell - Cyanogen Customer) in which case you have access to the MaxPoint forum, which you'll find under the section "Cyanogen Software - Registered Customers only).

In the MaxPoint forum you'll find this topic from a few days ago:

    https://forum.diffractionlimited.com/threads/installing-maxpoint.8750/

Try the solution I posted in reply #6

For specific technical help with MaxIm DL and MaxPoint you'll only find that on the registered users forum.

Note that I'm only a customer here myself, not staff..

    William.
