I was able to troubleshoot and resolve issue by cleaning the power connection at the input to camera, probable power supply regulation problem...
Is it normal for the STF8300 shutter to hit the end stop when covering the CCD sensor after an exposure? Camera is working normally otherwise....

My STF8300 does not seem to like the Skyx 64 bit version. The shutter makes a louder than normal noise and does not clear the sensor all the way...
