    Hey,

I have a CFW-10 filter wheel with a ST-10xme camera. The filter wheel is attached to the camera by replacing the window- as opposed to the nose block.

The filter wheel is off axis. When a filter is rotated infront of the camera - instead of a blank - the image on the camera appears out-of-focus. More than just the typical doughnut, one side of the doughnut is bright, the other side is dark, and intensity varies between the opposite points. I am certain this is due to the filter being off axis from the camera-telescope optical system.

Is there a procedure for re-positioning the filter wheel?

    Thanks,
    Beyer

    Dear Beyer,

I am not sure what you mean. a blank vs a slot will a filter will always have a difference in focus.
This is normal. Are you saying one of the filters could be tilted?
If you can upload an image so I can see it would help.

Scope collimation being off can sure change the brightness of the rings.
Can you explain further or show a pic.
    Thanks
    Tim
