Thanks Tim. I really feel like having the connector replaced but shipping the camera from here to the US is quite expensive... Last time, it costed me about $200. I keep in mind your suggestion and will see how it goes over the next few weeks / months (however, the warranty period will expire in October so I must be careful not to wait too long).
