Hello everybody. We have a SBIG CCD in our observatory in Spain. We are looking for exact technical specifications. We have been seeing several ones, bute none is exactly our model. Is a ST-7XME-S, and serial number: 04113813XME. I attach a picture. Thanks, Jose Bosch Bailach
Hello Jose, You can find the manual for the camera here: https://diffractionlimited.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/USBmanRev14.pdf The main sensor is a Kodak/Truesense/ON Semiconductor KAF-0401E CCD sensor, 9 um square pixels in a 765 x 510 array. Details are in the manual. I suspect this one was for use with one of the old SBIG Spectrographs.
Our records say it's actually a KAF-0402 sensor, which is also consistent with the year of manufacture (made in November 2004; Kodak switched from 0401 to 0402 in 2001). Here are the specifications for the sensor: https://www.onsemi.com/pub/Collateral/KAF-0402-D.PDF
