Hi just purchased a legacy St4000xcm and before contecting up I have tried downloading the Sbig drive checker. On the download page when I hit the download link a box opens requesting a username/password, have tried entering my DL details and enter but doesnt work. If I hit cancel the box disappears and the download starts, once completed when I hit the SetupDriverCheck.exe tab a pop up window appears saying this ap cannot run on this pc. Have tried right clicking on the downloaded file and opening properties and changing compatibility mode for the file to run in windows 7 mode but the SBigdrivercheck.exe wont work. Anyone know a solution ? the laptop is running windows 10 64 home, thank you
Doug, I am trying to put drive checker on a new computer and am getting the login request per the above. I can't even update my drivers on a computer which already has been used to get drivers. Thanks, Dick
Hi Dick - I think there's a problem with our server - I see what you mean, the FTP site is looking for a username/password. Am not sure I can get someone to look at it this weekend. Meanwhile, I've zipped up a copy from a few weeks bcak and attached it here. You can download this and unzip then install.
Hello, we have the same problem as Beren here can't update the software from USB Drive's we've received, and we can't download the new Sbig driver checker either
This will be fixed on Monday when the staff is back in the office. In the meantime you can use Colin’s version; just skip the download.
We're investigating now, and are performing some maintenance on the FTP server that should resolve the issue. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Maintenance is complete, and the FTP server is live. Let us know if you encounter any further issues.
Hello, I have the same problem the figure above, saying that "Error on Connecting to SBIG servers." Is there any problem with the FTP server mentioned above?
The sever is in maintenance mode right now; we will advise when it is back up. It will be a few hours.
