    Hey everyone!

I'm a software engineer and have inherited a project that uses the SBIG STF8300 camera. This project currently uses a VB script to control the camera which communicates directly to MaxIm. Ok, fine. This works but is clunky. It's hard to get status as the camera is working. I'd prefer to have more direct control though an SDK.

This approach would give me obvious and better understanding of the camera's status, error states, progress, etc.

    Is there one?

Hi Rob, yes, and we received your email. When we are back at work tomorrow, I'll round up what you need.
Also the STF-8300 is now many years old, and the STC-428 is something a lot of our OEMs are using - a similar sensor size in a similar size package but much faster.

Thanks so much, Colin! This is being used in a manufacturing floor environment so we can't so easily change hardware. I'll keep that newer camera in mind for future development though.
