Have a three year old ST-I that will no longer take images. The shutter does not seem to open (cannot hear the click when press Start button). Also, it appears loose- turn the camera upside down and the shutter opens (by eye sight). Even if try to image with the shutter open (ie: camera upside down) still no image. Have tried this using both CCDOPS and MaximDL, neither works; have tried with two different USB cables, both direct to PC, no hub. Both programs show camera detected, just a 'black' image downloaded. Problem first noticed about a week back. Previously, it worked fine with MaximDL. Am I missing some set-up feature, or does the camera need to be returned for service? Do I need some return authorization code before return? Also, is return center still at address in California? Thanks... Charlie
My ST-i (guider) is unable to produce a sub with auto dark set. The camera seems to work properly is I do not select auto dark and this is a new issue. I am currently using an MyT, Sky X Pro, Mac OS and a Pegasus UPB v2.. Everything has been updated. Not a clue... Any advice?
If you have a Windows PC available, test the camera with CCDops. This could be a TSX issue, or something else. What are the versions of everything you have? e.g. TSX 10.5.0 daily build 12363 ? Which MacOS ? Does the shutter operate normally? Have you asked on the Software Bisque forum?
TSX 10.5.0 12357 (I will update the to the latest daily today and give that a try) Catalina I can hear the shutter and see the LED I have brought up this issue on SB forum a couple days ago but nothing seems to work
I will sound very ignorant when I say this; I have tried to find a driver checker 64 bit. I tried to update SBIG driver 64 bit but I am not certain how to update/download/install/ a driver. Embarrassing but true.
Don't worry about installing a driver - I think Software Bisque may have embedded it in their installer. We dont have a current SBIGDriver Checker for Catalina yet...
