    Hi,

My shiny new STF-8300EN is giving me a max delta of 37.28 C. Shouldn't it do better than that?

I ask because it is currently 43 C outside and I need all the cooling I can get.

    Thanks,
    Dave

The TEC coolers do vary a little from unit to unit. And it can depend on external factors. Was this on a telescope, and what was the ambient temperature?

What is your camera serial number?

    Hi,

I was assuming that the TEC variation wqas why the camera is spec'd at 40-45 C.

The camera was on the filter wheel and focuser on my workbench. The camera said the ambient was 25 C.

    Thanks,

Delta-T test in production gave a delta-T of 40.14 degrees C. That's at the lower end of the range but in spec.

The coolers are more efficient at warmer ambient temperatures, which is handy considering that's when you really need them.
