    Hi,

I just received my STF-8300EN and on the packing list and in the box there were two shorting jumpers. I can't find what they are for in any documentation.

    Thanks,
    Dave

It's a bit of an hangover from the days when it was common to use an external relay box on the guide port.

If you install the two jumpers on the J8 jumper block, it will apply ground and +12V to the guide port common and AUX pins, respectively. This can be used to power the external relay box.

The output is already optoisolated so it is very rare to need the relay box these days.

I'm pretty sure I won't be doing that. Thanks Doug!
