Hi Dan, let's do the math. 83F is 28.3C. 28.3 - -6.9 = 35.2C delta T. That's the top end of what the STF can cool (usually it is closer to 30C). So the camera cannot cool any further. You're asking too much of the cooler by trying to get to -10C in that kind of heat. This is better suited to an Aluma 8300 which has SmartCooling, dual fans, and a higher performance heat sink arrangement. The STF-8300EN might get you a couple more degrees.
