My camera is about 2 years old and has always downloaded images in about 1 second. Last Saturday night, it suddenly began taking about 30 seconds to download an image. I was focusing at the time, using Nebulosity. I have since tried Maxim, CCDOps and Nebulosity but all downloads now take about 30 seconds (including darks). The camera has been returned to SBIG previously as the CCD chamber was frosting up and has also recently had the dessicant baked and the chamber filled with Argon gas by the Australian dealer. The only change I can remember doing is unticking and then re-ticking the Bias control in the config driver. Can this problem be rectified without the camera being returned to USA? Thanks, Phil Sheehan
Could you check your camera settings using: http://www.diffractionlimited.com/f...sbig-ccd-camera-using-ccdops-application.600/ Maybe something was rewritten inside its EEPROM, which could be the source of this download problems. Jan
Thanks for your speedy reply Jan! I tried the camera on my home computer and it worked ok! So, I reloaded Windows on my laptop, downloaded CCD Ops and Dvr checker and the camera is ok now. As you say, it must have been something corrupted! Happy now all is ok. Cheers, Phil
