Staff Assigned: Bill Lynch STT-8300 FW8G "filter wheel busy"

    I've owned my STT-8300 for over a year now with no issues but last night I couldn't get the filterwheel to connect in theskyx (sbig driver error 30006) so I tried using ccdops, it would connect but then when I tried to select a filter, it wouldn't be able to and it threw out "CFW reports it's busy". I've checked my drivers/firmware, they are up to date. Repair needed?

    Mike,

    That's the message you'll get if the filter wheel has been "hot plugged" meaning, connected to the camera while the camera is already powered up. Send me an email, bill@sbig.com, and I'll give you the details for sending it in.
